Description

Our destratification fan fixing kit can be used with our DSF1 and DSF2 fans together with most other manufacturers fans.

The kit contains :-

A Metal Clad Switch Fused Spur
2 No Y Gripples With Snap Fixings
1 No Stuffing Gland

The steel wires supplied in the kit are extremely strong and durable and provide an easy and safe way to suspend a destratification fan.

Installation

Mark out a beam or other support in the roof space where the destratification fan is to be located.

If there is insufficient space or fixing provision, consider using a small length of 41mm x 41mm slotted channel.

Carefully slide the Gripple over the long length of steel wire. There is an indicator on the gripple body to show which way around it should go.

Loop the steel wire over a beam so it can not fall off and then push back through the Gripple to form a fixed loop.

Repeat with the second fixing and gently level by eye.

Make sure that the fixings are secure and can not slide off the fixing point.

Using the snap fixings, securely fix to the fan and allow it to hang.

Place a spirit level on the fan and gently adjust the gripples until the fan is level.

Wiring

The fan fixing kit includes a switch fused spur which should be securely fitted to the roof with suitable fixings.

Insert the stuffing gland into one of the holes and carefully install the flexible cable from the destratification fan.

Wire the cable into the spur as shown in the instruction manual.

A suitable mains supply should now be provided to the spur from ground level. Ensure that a form of isolation is provided so the fan circuit can be switched off during the Summer.
